• HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO GET TATTOOED?

The law is 18 years of age.  No exceptions.  A valid, government issued, photo ID is required!

  • HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?

The minimum charge is $100 (+tax) and the artists work at $150 per hour. Your artist will determine if your tattoo will be priced outright or charged at the hourly rate.

  • DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

The artists welcome walk-ins when they have time, but we recommend you make an appointment since they are typically booked in advance. Please call the shop for questions about the schedule.

  • DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT FOR MY APPOINTMENT? HOW DO DEPOSITS WORK?

Yes.  Deposits ensure that the artists are at least minimally compensated if you cancel or don’t show up.  You may reschedule your appointment without penalty, but we require at least 48 hours notice so the artist has a chance to fill the opening with another client.  Deposits are $50 or $100 (+tax) depending on the length of your appointment. Deposits are not an additional charge; they are deducted from the cost of the tattoo when the tattoo is finished. Deposits are NOT REFUNDABLE.

  • WHAT IS A CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT? DO I NEED ONE?

Consultations are a meeting (free of charge) with the artist of your choice to discuss your ideas, get your questions answered, and come up with a “game plan” for your tattoo.  If you need assistance shaping your ideas and/or images into a final design, the artists will want to have a consultation, before booking tattoo time.  Consultations are also mandatory for people who have existing tattoos they would like to add to, rework, or cover-up.  If you are not sure that you need a consultation, please call or email and we will figure it out.

  • CAN I GET AN ESTIMATE?

Although an in-person consultation is sometimes necessary, many times the artists can give an estimate on average size tattoos once they have seen the design and have some information about it.  Please stop by with your design or email it to us.  If you email, please include the size you would like the tattoo to be, where you want the tattoo on you, and a detailed description of any changes you would like made to the design.

  • DO YOU ALLOW CHILDREN IN THE SHOP?

It’s not encouraged.  If you are just stopping by to make an appointment or get an estimate, that’s ok.  We do, however, ask that you make child care arrangements prior to your tattoo appointment.

  • CAN YOU TATTOO OVER SCARS?

If your scar is well healed, the artists can usually tattoo over it; although the results may vary depending on the scar. The artists require that you come in for a consultation first, so they can advise you on the results you can expect.

  • IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE I COME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

The best thing you can do is be well rested, well fed, and well hydrated when you come in for your appointment.  If you show up to your appointment intoxicated, you will be turned away and your deposit will be forfeit.

  • CAN I BRING FRIENDS/FAMILY WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes, 1 or 2 people are allowed to sit with you while you get tattooed. Space may be limited on a busy day though, so your moral support may have to take turns sitting with you if we can’t accommodate everyone.

  • WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION OR I’M PREGNANT OR NURSING? CAN I STILL GET TATTOOED?

If you are pregnant or nursing, the artists cannot tattoo you. If your immune system and/or ability to heal is compromised, or you are on a blood-thinning medication, or you take prophylaxis before going to the dentist, we strongly suggest that you speak with your doctor first, for your own safety. Also, if you have a skin condition, especially around the area you are getting tattooed, please speak with you doctor first. If you are sunburned in the area you are getting tattooed, the artists cannot tattoo you.

  • IS EVERYTHING SAFE AND STERILE THERE?

Yes. All needles are pre-sterilized, used only one time, and are properly disposed of immediately after your tattoo is finished. The ink is portioned for your individual tattoo, and any leftover is disposed of. Everything else that can be disposed of, is. The artists use a hospital grade disinfectant to disinfect all surfaces in their work area, and also renew their bloodborne pathogen awareness certificates annually. Any equipment that is allowed to be re-used is first hand scrubbed, then mechanically scrubbed, and ultimately sterilized in an autoclave. Autoclaves are what hospitals and dentists also use to sterilize equipment. Finally, we spore test our autoclave every week. Spore tests are evaluated by an independent third party, to ensure our autoclave is working properly. You are welcome to see our spore test results.

  • Do you offer body piercing?
